FAQ

Short answers to help you get started.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. A 15‑minute consult helps me understand your goals, answer questions, and confirm fit. No pressure to book.

Are sessions virtual or in‑person?

Both. In‑person in Vancouver by appointment, and secure virtual sessions across BC. Phone sessions are available if you prefer.

How do I book in person or virtual?

Book in person or virtual. If you don’t see a time that works, email me and I'll try to accommodate.

What happens in the first session?

We clarify what feels most important right now, review consent and confidentiality limits, and co‑create initial goals at a pace that feels right for you.

What approaches do you use?

I tailor care using approaches like Narrative Therapy, Solution‑Focused Therapy, CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Process, ERP (when appropriate), and Gottman‑informed work for relationships—all within a trauma‑aware, affirmative, sex‑positive lens.

Do you work with CNM, kink, or 2SLGBTQIA+ clients?

Yes. I offer affirmative, sex‑positive, inclusive care. I use non‑stigmatizing language and respect your identities and relationships.

Do you offer walk‑and‑talk sessions?

Yes. We’ll choose an accessible route together and have a weather and privacy plan. There’s always a virtual or office fallback if needed.

Do you offer sliding‑scale pricing?

Limited spots are available. Please request this during your consult so we can discuss options.

Are sessions covered by insurance? Do you provide receipts?

Many plans offer coverage for counselling. I provide receipts for reimbursement. Please check your plan’s eligibility.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Please provide 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no‑shows may be charged the full session fee.
